This happens sometimes. Please disconnect your iPod and preform a reboot. This is done by holding do the Center button and menu button on the iPod for about 6 to 10 seconds. After this is done please reconnect the iPod and begin listening to music. If that does not solve the problem, please disconnect the entire unit, reinstall, check all the connections to make sure they are tight. If that does not solve the problem it is very possible that the unit is defective. Reassure the customer that this does not happen all the time and a simple exchange of the unit will solve the problem and get them on the road with the iPod.
(if and ONLY if the customer complains about installation fees incurred during this process set Cross Shipment exchange/or advance exchange, anything within reason to make the customer keep the product)I plugged everything in and nothing is happening. (IPOD2CAR/ NEO ION (10009-10061 ONLY)
What button are you using to access the iPod? (most radios use the CD button, however some will use the Source, Aux or SAT button. Are the switches on the side of the box set correctly? Did you connect everything?
Were there any wires coming off of the wire that plugs into the radio? (red, and yellow power wires, black or black and white ground wires) If yes, tell them you must connect those wires. The yellow wire is a power wire and needs to be connected to the a 12v constant.
You will need a few things from an electronics store if you do not already have them. 1.)Volt meter 2.)T-Tap, or something that will let you connect the yellow wire to the 12v from the radio/vehicles harness. -You can find the 12v constant with a volt meter from Radio Shack ($5-$10). You will need to touch the volt meter to each pin in the harness that was removed from the back of the factory radio. After you have found the wire you need to tap into mark that wire with a piece of tape, or however you wish. You will then use your T-tap to connect the yellow wire to the 12v wire.
I purchased the Ipod2car/Neo ion for a Toyota and the toyota harness converter, everything is plugged in but there is one plug just hanging there with nothing to plug into it.
That plug is for vehicles equipped with RSE (rear seat entertainment) if your vehicle does not have that option then there will be nothing to plug into that. It will not affect the operation of the unit.
See the larger black connecting block plugged into the back of your radio? This will unplug and then plug into the RED connector on the Audi Harness converter that we sent you. Then, you will click the blue connector onto the side of the green connector to form one solid connector, and that makes up the black plug you just unplugged from the radio. Go ahead and plug this in where the black connector was unplugged from the radio. Don't forget to ground the two black wires from the blue connector to a screw on the radio.
We have heard of this happening before, and there is an easy fix. What you need to do is locate the adapter box and disconnect it from the radio cable (cable that goes from the box to the radio) or disconnect the negative ground on the battery. What this does is resets the adapter and when you plug it back in again all the problems should be gone. If they are still present please call us back to set up a exchange.
Problem : My adapter is not displaying any track/title information on the radio.Although Mazda radios will display a “hello, and goodbye” message upon starting the car and turning the car off, they do not support iPod text display.
Problem : My adapter is plugged in and nothing is happening when i press the CD button. It is not playing audio and not recognizing anything is plugged in.1st step ask them what year and model Mazda they have. If the answer is a 2004 Mazda 6/Speed 6 tell them that some Mazda 6's came from the factory without having the port on the back of the radio connected to the board for the radio.
This can be easily fixed by connecting two pins on the radio board, this can be done by any small electronics repair/tv repair shop.
Please send them this link for review.
Most BMW vehicles come from the factory with a external CD changer pre-wire which is located in the left side of the trunk compartment behind the carpeting. You will need to remove a small area of the carpeting to gain access to these pre-wires which are in most cases wrapped in a small foam protective covering.
My adapter stopped displaying TEXT after a few weeks of use. What you need to do is disconnect the unit from the CD changer pre-wire in the trunk and reconnect after a few minutes. This will reset the adapter and it will default to factory settings, please follow your user manual to set up the text display location.
I am trying to install my BMW adapter and the connections in the trunk do not match.
